Hello dear friends of vocaldente,

even though it's too late for a New Year's wish, yet too early for Easter greetings, we still want to give a sign of life to let you know:

The advance ticket sale for our concerts on Tuesday, April 10th and Wednesday, April 11th at 8pm in the Freie Waldorfschule Hannover-Maschsee has begun.

This time, the tickets can be purchased not only under the well-known hotline 0049-511-53 43 711 and via e-mail to karten@vocaldente.de, but are also available in all popular ticket agencies in Hannover.

We've got quite a few novelties for you: not only our new bass singer, Tobi, and new outfit (we've regretfully abandoned our fancy, much-loved pink hoodies...), but those of you who witnessed our gigs in autumn 2005 at the same place know what's awaiting you! ;-)

But not only that, because there’ll also be a surprise that – besides a snorkel and floating tyre – should undoubtedly be part an essential part of the holiday luggage of every a capella friend.

Until then, we're on the road a lot (and Chris the Dancer will be with us at every turn), after the New Year began quite positively for us:

On January 6, we had the honour and pleasure of delivering the musical frame for the traditional New Year's Reception of the Protestant National Church, in the presence of both the Prime Minister of Lower Saxony, Christian Wulff (“May I raise one humble point of criticism: You should develop more pride of your home city of Hannover!” - Thank God, I'm a Country Boy!) and the regional Bishop of Hannover, Margot Käßmann (“The youth should be incited to sing more!” - Aaaallrrrright!). On January 21, we had our first gig with our new bass member, and at the end of January, we had a short trip to Switzerland, to attend the 4th Zürcher Acapella Night (where we're now fondly called “voch-ral-dente”).

The latter served as a bit of useful promotion, because we'll be in Zurich again this weekend. And not just for one single performance: All good things come in three, as you say, so the idea arose to give three concerts in three countries on three nights in a row – in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, so to say a G-AT-CH-tour. And as we already had concert requests from our neighbouring countries lying on the desk, it was just a simple matter of coordination (of the no-frills airlines ;-) ) – et voilà, there you go, the triplet was set up:

Friday, February 16 2007, 8pm, Altach (Austria)
Saturday, February 17 2007, 8pm, Oberstdorf (Germany)
Sunday, February 18 2007, 6pm, Zurich (Switzerland)

Oh by the way (you might have already noticed if you're a frequent visitor to this site), since the turn of year, our new photos are online. The photo-shoot, for which we were once again lucky to enlist Marc Theis for (the best photographer you can wish for - once again thank you!), took place in the middle of December at chosen places in the city of Hannover and at the airport Hannover-Langenhagen.

And that's where we'll start our Three Countries Tour. The suitcases are ready, tomorrow we're off!
