e-voc from 13.05.2009 - vocaldente go astray

vocaldente after performing at a VIP event on the MIPTV 2009 in Cannes, France
Dear friends of vocaldente,

they were known to all of us as perfect charmers, witty clowns and empathic singers – well, it hurts to say, but this seems to have been an illusionary image. Life in vocaldente is really all about sex, drugs 'n' a cappella... read the true story of their criminal escapades, exclusively here!

It started in March 2009, in the United States of America, when vocaldente slid into the doubtful world of drugs, notably an over the counter substance called “Monster”. Wide-eyed minds might call it an energy drink, but astronomical amounts of its highly addictive ingredients taurine and caffeine had the worst imaginable influence on the behaviour of our five boys.

Thus, the excessive consumption of “Monster” can be the only explanation – yet certainly no excuse – for the boys' misdemeanours throughout the US tour:

they were stopped due to ruthlessly ignoring the speed limit (vocaldente's response: “Sorry mate, didn't notice it”), for sipping beer on the back seat (vocaldente's response: “Huh, this is illegal here?”), even because of illegally photographing bridges and tunnels (“Didn't have the slightest clue...”). Eyewitnesses are also reporting outrageous stripping sessions in front of church houses (“Oh come on, this was just Juegalo!”), not to mention nightly loitering in New York Airport (“Missed the plane, lemme sleep...”). And isn't it somewhat suspicious that they were hurrying to leave the country in the middle of their tour?... Officially, they were assisting Sony Pictures (2waytraffic) at the world's biggest TV formats fair, the MIPTV 2009, in developing a TV show dealing with a cappella music called “StrictlyVocal” - but utterly reliable sources suggest that this too was only a likely tale.

So it's no surprise that the plans for their upcoming mid-May return to the United States raise more suspicions. The cities they've picked out have names such as Bagdad by the Bay or Sin City, and were featured in films like Vanishing Point, Aspen Extreme, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas or LA Confidential. The ensemble, however, have already created alibis for why they're heading there: In San Francisco, they are supposedly hosting this year's Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival as National Champion, while their trip to the City of Angels allegedly follows an invitation from Sony Pictures (2waytraffic) to work for StrictlyVocal again. Certainly, vocaldente's reckless criminality isn't limited to the US alone – they're up to mischief internationally. Their latest scam is nothing less than dealing in gold! For $ 20,- , you can purchase their latest album “gold 'n' delicious” direct from their website soon, filled to the brim with 14 vocal bullions in song form. It's already certain, this will send the world into a global gold fever. You want to be infected? Click here:MUSIC

Of course, every concert goer can alternatively acquire a piece of gold right at the source, that is to say, buy a copy at one of vocaldente's live shows during May and June: all across Germany, such as in the cities of Kempten, Trier, Saarbrücken and Spangenberg; and they're also participating in festivals within the renowned International Chamber Choir Competition in Marktoberdorf. Abroad, you can see them live in Tampere, Finland, where they'll perform as last time's winner of the Tampereen Sävel Vocal Music Festival, in Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain) or on the aforementioned US tour::LIVE

After all this criminal intent, it's hardly surprising that vocaldente are planning to go underground. Research has uncovered that this is scheduled for June 20, 2009, and that their den will be the famous Balver Caves. These caves happens to be used for concerts, so it was decided to label this operation with the code name “5 years vocaldente, anniversary show with DVD production”. Innocent fans will be maliciously lured with free shuttle buses from all parts of Germany before being kidnapped to the caves in the German Sauerland. ...

But well, as so often it is, vocaldente sowed the wind and reaped the whirlwind. You might call it poetic justice or maybe even nemesis, that criminality stroke back, and the five boys saw the full income of their first Hannoverian home concert in April being stolen – while they were performing on stage! That hurts ... It should be a lesson for them. Thank god, there's also news concerning the brighter sides of their image: let them invite you for a nice ride on a merry-go-round in South Korea's biggest leisure park, accompanying the five singers on the third part of their Asia Trilogy videocast. It's all good, hilarious fun, and let's be honest – crime doesn't really suit vocaldente, does it?VIDEOCAST

Stay good!

Yours, vocaldente
