Whohooo! 1st prize and Audience Favorite

This is unbelievable! Now we're definitely the happiest vocal group on earth:
We just won the National Finals of the 24th Annual Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival 2008 and were once again awarded the 1st prize by the jury as well as the Audience Favorite Award for Best Group in front of 2000 listeners in the sold-out Marin Veterans' Auditorium in San Francisco.
After claiming victory in the Mid-Atlantic regional final in Washington D.C. four weeks ago, we were now competing against the winners of the other seven regional finals: Seven absolutely world-class ensembles - therefore, we're absolutely overwhelmed.
So now we're not only going to host the Mid Atlantics 2009 in Washington D.C., but also the 25th Annual Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival 2009 - next year's final again in San Francisco. This 25th final will be something very special: American TV is meant to be recording, featuring a "special performance by vocaldente". :-)
Anyway, it's time to celebrate now. Though in just a few hours, we will already be on our way back home to Hannover. What a pity; we couldn't even manage a proper sightseeing tour (but then again we weren't here for a holiday, were we?). But hey, we're gonna be back soon to make up for this!
