The waiting has come to an end: Niklas’ successor has been chosen! We are thrilled to announce that Michael Schöpe, a 28 year-old singer originally from Munich, will be vocaldente's 2nd tenor from September onward. And he’s already going to be part of a few (short) gigs and on our upcoming Hong Kong tour.

We’ve been searching all over Germany for the best candidate – successfully! Micha is singer, dancer and actor, all in one. He only just successfully graduated with a diploma at the esteemed Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig (university of music & theatre in Leipzig, Germany), years that allowed him to experiment in numerous art productions. He has performed in Berlin and Rostock amongst other famous cities, and in numerous locations such as Neustrelitz, Altenburg, Gera and Zug in Switzerland. His last engagement was playing the role of Ernst Ludwig in “Cabaret” at the Theatre Neubrandenburg, as well as starring as Barnaby Tucker in the musical “Hello, Dolly!” at the Musikalischen Komödie in Leipzig.

Most importantly though, Micha’s a likeable fellow, fitting vocaldente just perfectly. Our first encounter already made clear that the chemistry’s right between us, and the initial rehearsal confirmed that this impression was indeed true.

The group has already been practising intensively with Micha for a couple of months to ensure a seamless introduction of the new line-up. After our summer break, he’ll replace Niklas, who is going to dedicate himself exclusively to his true musical love - guitar playing. The remaining four vocaldenters would like to say “Thank you, Niklas!” and wish him every success for the future.
